Radhe Maa gets another supporter, Markandey Katju calls her 'pure and pious' in his blog

New Delhi, Sept 25: Former chairman of the Press Council of India Markandey Katju has defended self-styled godwoman Radhe Maa.

In his blog titled "Radhe Radhe Bolo Radhe Ma", Katju said that controversial godwoman is pure and pious and people are tragetting him for no fault of her.

"I don't know why some people are after my mothers's blood, who is pure and pious", Katju has written.

Defending Radhe Maa's obscene act in public place, he further wrote, "She is accused of áshleelta '. But ashleelta is part of our culture. viz. the erotic sculptures in Khajuraho and Konarak".

Markandey Katju is known for giving controversial statements. Recently he kicked up storm when he made "abusive remarks" against Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and revolutionary Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Katju, a former chairman of the Press Council of India, described Tagore as a "British stooge" and Bose as a "Japanese agent".

BJP legislator from West Bengal Samik Bhattacharya had filed a police complaint over the same.

It is said that she descends from the sky. But did our avatars not descend from the sky ?

It is said she dances. But did Lord Shiva not perform Tandava Nritya ?

It is said people kiss her and give her massage. Do people not kiss their mothers and massage them?

It is said she wears expensive jewelllery. But so do many of our gods and goddesses in temples.
So why all this hue and cry ?
