The Imphal West administration responded by imposing indefinite prohibitory orders across the district. Imphal West District Magistrate Th Kirankumar issued a curfew starting at 4:30 pm on that day. This action aimed to curb further unrest and maintain order in the area.

A mob targeted Health and Family Welfare Minister Sapam Ranjan's residence in Lamphel Sanakeithel area, according to a senior officer. David from Lamphel Sanakeithel Development Authority stated, "Sapam assured us that the issues related to the killing of three persons will be discussed at a cabinet meeting and that the minister will tender his resignation if the government fails to honour the sentiment of the public."

Protesters also stormed Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Minister L Susindro Singh's house. Another senior officer confirmed this incident, highlighting growing tensions among residents demanding accountability from their leaders.

In Sagolband, demonstrators gathered outside BJP legislator RK Imo's residence. RK Imo is Chief Minister N Biren Singh's son-in-law. The crowd chanted slogans urging swift government action, demanding arrests within 24 hours for those responsible for the killings.

Meanwhile, protesters assembled at independent legislator Sapam Nishikanta Singh's home on Tiddim Road. Upon learning Singh was out of state, they shifted focus to his office housing a local newspaper he owns. The mob vandalised temporary structures in front of this building.

The unrest erupted after discovering bodies believed to be six missing people from Jiribam district. These included a woman and two children found about 16 km from Borobekra in Jiribam district, near where they disappeared earlier this week.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed security forces to restore peace in Manipur. This directive follows reports that armed militants abducted and allegedly killed six civilians, including women and children, from the Jiribam district.
