Man Fatally Stabbed in South Delhi Following Petty Dispute; Five Arrested by Police

A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death in South Delhi after a quarrel over a petty issue. Police have arrested five individuals involved in the incident.

A 20-year-old man was allegedly killed by stabbing in a revenge attack by six individuals in Dakshinpuri, south Delhi, police reported on Tuesday. The main suspect, Lalla alias Izhar, who was also injured during the incident, is currently receiving medical care at a hospital. Meanwhile, five of his accomplices have been apprehended by the authorities.

Police received information from Safdarjung Hospital on Monday about an injured man named Ankit alias Sahil alias Kanchi, a Dakshinpuri resident. He was admitted in an unconscious state and later pronounced dead. Initial investigations indicated that the victim was attacked by a group of men following a minor dispute.

Revenge Attack Following Previous Altercation

The altercation between the victim and the accused occurred during Rakshabandhan. This led to the subsequent attack as an act of revenge. A senior police officer revealed that a 22-year-old from Sangam Vihar and his associates were involved in the assault.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the accused and his group, all from Dakshinpuri, collectively attacked and stabbed the victim. The main accused sustained injuries during this incident and is currently undergoing treatment at Safdarjung Hospital.

Legal Proceedings and Arrests

Authorities have registered a case under relevant legal sections and are continuing their investigation into the matter. Five associates of the main accused have been arrested as part of this ongoing inquiry.

The police later learned that the accused had also been injured during the altercation and was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital for treatment. The investigation is still underway to gather more details about the incident.
