Man Slams Vistara For Leaving Blind Mother Alone On Flight, Airline Responds | Video

A man has alleged that his "blind mother" was left alone inside an empty Vistara flight, accusing the airline of neglecting its responsibilities.

Ayush Kejriwal shared his account on Instagram, claiming that the incident occurred on August 31 when his mother was traveling on a Vistara flight from Delhi to Kolkata.

" @Vistara Airlines, how could you endanger my blind mother like this?! Are you not responsible for the well-being of disabled passengers under your supervision and care during their travels?! SHOCKING!" he posted on the social media platform, accompanied by a video message.

Kejriwal explained that they had arranged for an assisted travel plan for his mother, which meant that Vistara airline's staff members were supposed to assist her throughout her journey from Delhi to Kolkata. However, upon landing at Kolkata airport, while all other passengers disembarked, his mother was allegedly asked to wait.

She patiently waited for nearly 25 minutes, but no one came to assist her. Concerned that the flight was being prepared for its next destination, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, she became frightened and raised an alarm, he claimed.

A cleaning staff member eventually informed the airline, and she was removed from the flight. "If she had not raised an alarm, she would have ended up in Andaman and Nicobar Islands," her son stated.

In response to Kejriwal's complaint, Vistara issued an apology and assured him that they would investigate the incident.

"Hi Ayush, we deeply regret your recent experience with us. At Vistara, we hold ourselves to the highest service standards, and it upsets us to hear that we fell short of your expectations. Please rest assured that we prioritize the well-being of our customers, and their safety and security are our top priorities. Please DM us with the case reference numbers and booking details. Thanks, Aishwarya," the airline responded.
