Man Robbed of Jewellery Worth Rs 1 Crore at Gunpoint Near Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi

In New Delhi, a man was robbed of jewellery valued at Rs 1 crore by armed assailants near Bharat Mandapam. The incident involved the theft of gold and silver items.

A robbery occurred near Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where a man transporting jewellery worth approximately Rs 1 crore was allegedly held at gunpoint by motorcycle-riding assailants. The incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon as the victim was en route to his destination with the jewellery consignment near Bhairon Mandir, according to police reports.

The victims, Shivam Kumar Yadav, aged 28, and his associate Raghav, aged 55, were travelling from Chandni Chowk towards Bhairon Mandir on a scooter. As they neared the mandir parking area, two individuals on a motorcycle reportedly intercepted them. At gunpoint, the robbers seized a bag containing silver and another with gold and silver items before escaping.

Police Investigation Underway

The complainant stated that the robbers absconded with 500 grams of gold and 35 kilograms of silver. Unfortunately, the caller could not record the complete registration number of the motorcycle used by the assailants. A senior police officer confirmed this detail while discussing the ongoing investigation.

Following the incident, a team from Tilak Marg police station promptly arrived at the scene. They began examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the route taken by the suspects and to identify them. Officials are actively pursuing leads to apprehend those responsible for the robbery.

Efforts to Recover Stolen Jewellery

Authorities have initiated raids in an effort to capture the culprits involved in this crime. Additionally, police have summoned the jewellery store owner to verify the exact value of the stolen items. This step is crucial for determining the total loss incurred during this brazen daylight robbery.

The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement works diligently to solve this case. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity that may aid in capturing those responsible for this armed robbery.
