Domestic Distress Leads to Suicide of Carpenter in Delhi's Sangam Vihar Area
A 25-year-old carpenter, Rohit Singh, was found dead at his home in Sangam Vihar, South Delhi. Police reported that he allegedly took his own life after his wife left him. The incident came to light following a PCR call received by the authorities.

Family members, including Singh's parents and brother, revealed that he had an argument with his wife three days prior. After the disagreement, she left with their two children to her parental home. They noted that Singh appeared distressed and depressed since the quarrel.
Police Investigation and Findings
Upon receiving the call, a team from Sangam Vihar police station arrived at the scene. They discovered Singh hanging in his residence. His body was subsequently transferred to the AIIMS mortuary for preservation, according to a senior police officer.
Initial investigations suggest suicide as the cause of death. Officials found no external injuries or evidence of foul play. The police believe marital issues might have contributed to Singh's mental stress, leading to this tragic outcome.
Legal Proceedings and Family Response
No complaints have been lodged by Singh's family so far. Authorities do not suspect any foul play at this point. Inquest proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC have been initiated as part of the ongoing investigation.
The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Singh's death. They aim to gather more information to understand the factors that may have influenced his decision.
The situation highlights the impact of personal issues on mental health. It underscores the importance of seeking help during times of distress.
