Gurugram Man Catches Wife With Lover, Gets Assaulted And Threatened With 'Meerut Murder'

In Gurugram's Basai Enclave, a dramatic incident unfolded when a woman's lover allegedly attacked her husband with a pistol's butt.

The husband had caught them together, according to police reports on Tuesday. The accused also issued a chilling threat, referencing a recent crime in Meerut where a woman and her lover killed her husband and concealed the body in cement.

The altercation escalated when neighbours arrived, prompting the accused to flee. Mausam, a cab driver from Kharman village in Haryana's Jhajjar, filed a complaint detailing the event.

He married the woman from Moga, Punjab, two years ago despite family disapproval. The couple resided in Basai Enclave, Gurugram.

Probe Underway

Mausam recounted that he returned home around 6 am on Monday after working a night shift but couldn't find his wife in their room.

Upon searching, he discovered her on the terrace with Naveen, a fellow villager. When Mausam confronted them, Naveen allegedly brandished a pistol and struck him on the head with its butt.

The police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the incident. A senior officer confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects involved in this case. The authorities are actively pursuing leads to locate and arrest the accused duo.

Mausam's complaint further stated that after being attacked, the couple fled as neighbours intervened. This incident has raised concerns about safety and domestic disputes within the community. The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in their investigation.
