Mamata's slippers have 'Made in China' tag, says Rahul

, hit out at West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee at a rally in the state on Thursday.

Rahul said Mamata wore slippers made with the Made in China tag. "The slippers which Mamata-ji wears has Made in China written on it. We want that to change it to Made in India," he said in Ghatal Lok Sabha constituency in West Bengal.

"Mamta-ji talks about helping poor people but I see no changes here. The money sent by the Central government does not reach the people here", said Rahul.

Trinamool indulged in violence to win election, accused Rahul. "If you are a worker of any other party in Bengal, they will be beaten by the TMC."

"When we started working with the TMC, we thought we will usher in change. But only the red flag (of the Left Front) was replaced by the green flag (of the TMC). That's all", said Rahul.

Rahul also slammed Mamata for Saradha scam.

"Twenty lakh people lost their money in the chit fund scam in West Bengal," he said. "She gives big speeches but corruption continues in the state," he said.
