She also revealed plans to develop a Tiger Safari in Jhargram to boost tourism, with an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.

Expressing her deep connection with the tribal community, Banerjee stated, "I have a spiritual connection with my tribal brothers and sisters. I am committed to continuing the development momentum for tribal mothers and siblings." She emphasised unity by saying, "Regardless of religion, caste, or community, we pledge today to walk together in peace and harmony."

Commitment to Tribal Welfare

Earlier in the day, Banerjee extended her greetings to the tribal community on the occasion of the International Day of the World's Indigenous People. She reaffirmed her government's commitment to their comprehensive development. She highlighted various initiatives aimed at protecting tribal rights and promoting their welfare.

Banerjee mentioned the creation of a separate department and various development boards dedicated to safeguarding tribal land rights. She assured continued efforts for their development by stating, "We will continue our work for the development of tribal brothers and sisters in the future as well. Jai Johar."

The Chief Minister's announcements reflect a significant push towards improving infrastructure and boosting tourism in Jhargram. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to uplift the tribal communities in West Bengal.

The new projects and initiatives underscore Banerjee's commitment to fostering development across all communities. Her focus remains on ensuring that every section of society benefits from these developmental activities.

The celebration of Adivasi Dibas provided a fitting backdrop for these announcements, highlighting the importance of inclusive growth and community welfare.

Banerjee's visit and announcements mark a continued effort towards enhancing living conditions and promoting sustainable development in West Bengal's tribal regions.
