Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim Nails His Bollywood Moment — Croons To 'Dost-Dost Na Raha' | Watch
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim concluded his three-day visit to India on a high note by showcasing his singing talent on Thursday. At his farewell reception at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi, he serenaded the audience with the classic Hindi song 'Dost Dost Na Raha' by Mukesh.
The Malaysian PM, who expressed his admiration for Bollywood and Shammi Kapoor, shared a video of his performance on social media.

During his state visit, Prime Minister Ibrahim met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where both leaders decided to elevate their bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
Reflecting on their meeting, PM Modi stated, "After becoming the PM, this is the first visit of Dato' Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim. I am happy to have the opportunity to welcome you at the beginning of my third term. India and Malaysia are completing a decade of partnership, and in the last two years, with the support of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, our partnership has gained a new momentum and energy."
Prime Minister Ibrahim praised PM Modi as his "brother," highlighting the potential for further collaboration between India and Malaysia.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi is my brother. Even when I was not the PM, he was very kind... We have agreed to enhance the further comprehensive strategic partnership," Ibrahim said in their joint press statement.
He added, "We will reinvigorate this working relationship in all fields... We discuss as true brothers on all issues, sensitive or otherwise, because this is the true meaning of friendship. We have established an understanding of a number of issues, and the Prime Minister kindly mentioned some of them. But as we have said in the meetings, we will extend this."
The Ministry of External Affairs noted that the two leaders held extensive discussions on various topics, including trade and commerce, defense and security, cultural exchanges, people-to-people ties, and emerging areas such as digital technologies, semiconductors, renewable energy, and sustainable development.
This was Ibrahim's first visit to India as the Malaysian PM, and he was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including key ministers such as Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, Minister of Tourism, Art & Culture Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Digital Gobind Singh Deo, and Minister of Human Resources Steven Sim.
One of the critical outcomes of the visit was the signing of eight agreements, including a pact on promoting the recruitment of Indian workers in Malaysia and protecting their interests.
This agreement is particularly important given the ongoing issues of illegal immigration and human trafficking between India and Malaysia.
Additionally, during his visit, Prime Minister Ibrahim met with BJP national president JP Nadda and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
