Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Outlines Vision for Self-Reliance and Development

During a special assembly session, CM Mohan Yadav highlighted the BJP government's efforts to make Madhya Pradesh self-reliant and prosperous, marking key milestones for the state’s future.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) governance, highlighting decisions made over the past two years. He believes these choices, though seemingly minor now, will become significant milestones. His comments came during a special session of the Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly, marking the 70th anniversary of its first meeting.

Yadav emphasised that these decisions aim to transform lives, alleviate suffering, and bring happiness to the people. He noted that Madhya Pradesh was once considered a BIMARU state but is now on the path to development due to continuous efforts by BJP governments. "We are confident that we will take Madhya Pradesh forward and place it in the category of developed states. This is our resolve," he stated.

Development Initiatives and Achievements

The Chief Minister highlighted several achievements during his tenure, including the eradication of Naxalism from the state. He also mentioned dismantling terrorism-related modules and uncovering illegal transactions worth Rs 2,000 crore across more than 1,300 money laundering accounts. These efforts reflect the government's commitment to ensuring safety and transparency.

Yadav also discussed preparations for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela in Ujjain in 2028. A task force has been established for this event, with 84 infrastructure projects worth Rs 7,380 crore already approved. This initiative aims to enhance facilities for the mega religious gathering, showcasing the state's dedication to cultural and religious events.

Tourism Growth and Future Prospects

The tourism sector in Madhya Pradesh has seen remarkable growth, with a record-breaking influx of tourists in 2024. Approximately 13 crore visitors explored the state, including domestic and international tourists. The Chief Minister noted that this surge has surpassed records from the past 25 years, indicating a thriving tourism industry.

Yadav expressed optimism about Madhya Pradesh's future, envisioning a state rich in greenery and industrial networks where prosperity is widespread. "We are moving forward with this resolve. We have a leader, a policy, and a will," he affirmed. The government remains committed to building a developed and self-reliant Madhya Pradesh through tireless efforts.

Reflecting on his two-year leadership, Yadav highlighted historic achievements across various sectors. He reiterated that these accomplishments are part of a broader vision to elevate Madhya Pradesh into a developed state category. The Chief Minister assured that their work would continue until this vision becomes reality.
