Major Changes In Karnataka Police Force: Dayanand Is New Bengaluru Commissioner
There are major changes that have been enforced in the police force in Karnataka, following the takeover by the Congress in the state.
C H Pratap Reddy, Director General of Police and Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru city has been transferred with immediate effect. He has been posted until further orders as the DGP, Internal Security Division, Bengaluru in a vacant post.

The government announced that M A Saleem, additional director general of police and special commissioner (traffic) has been promoted and has been posted until further orders as the Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, Special Units and Economic Offences Bengaluru. He has replaced K V Sharath Chandra from the concurrent charge, the order read.
B Dayanand has been posted until further orders as the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City.
K V Sharath Chanra has been posted as additional director general of police, intelligence, the government order also read.
The Karnataka elections were held on May 10 and the results of the same were declared on May 13.The Congress won with a thumping margin ousting the BJP which were ruling the state before the elections.
Siddaramaiah took over as the chief minister, while D K Shivakumar was made his deputy. A host of decisions are expected in the next couple of weeks as the seat of power shifted from the BJP to the Congress.
