Maharashtra: Harassed by a stalker, girl commits suicide

Jalgaon, Aug 21: In a tragic incident in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, a colleger girl committed suicide after being humiliated by an eve-teaser and stalker.

A student in a college in Pachora, the girl consumed rat poison when she could not take the insults any more. The incident happened on Monday, said an official at Pachora police station.

The victim's stalker was a 25-year old Sharad Patil, who was arrested the same day. The accused stalked and eve-teased the girl wherever she went.

Patil was produced before the local court that kept him in police custody for 2 days.
