Maha Kumbh 2025 Embraces Technology With AI-Driven Lost And Found Centre
The administration in Prayagraj has introduced an AI-powered lost and found centre to manage the large number of pilgrims attending the Maha Kumbh. Additional Mela Adhikari Vivek Chaturvedi explained that the centre provides shelter, clothing, and food for those who are lost. "There has not been a single case in which we have not been able to reunite children or lost people with their relatives," he stated. If reunification fails, the administration ensures individuals are taken home at no cost.
International Delegation Visits Maha Kumbh
A 21-member delegation from ten countries arrived at Arail Tent City in Prayagraj on Wednesday. The group, invited by India's Ministry of External Affairs, will take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam on Thursday. This visit highlights global interest in India's spiritual events. The delegation includes representatives from Fiji, Finland, Guyana, Malaysia, Mauritius, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, and the UAE.

During their stay, the international visitors will engage in a heritage walk to appreciate Prayagraj's cultural and historical significance. They will also enjoy a helicopter ride for an aerial view of the Mahakumbh area. Arrangements for their accommodation and meals have been made at the tent city to ensure their comfort.
Maha Kumbh's Global Appeal
The Yogi government-led Mahakumbh has garnered worldwide attention this year. The event commenced on January 13 and will continue until February 26. Key bathing dates include January 29 (Mauni Amavasya - Second Shahi Snan), February 3 (Basant Panchami - Third Shahi Snan), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri).
The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation has facilitated accommodations at Arail's Tent City for attendees. This initiative underscores the state's commitment to promoting its cultural heritage while ensuring visitors' comfort during this significant event.
The AI-based centre's success in reuniting lost individuals with their families reflects its effectiveness. The administration's proactive measures ensure that even if reunification is not possible immediately, individuals are safely returned home without incurring any expenses themselves.
