A woman who was five months pregnant was reportedly made to clean the blood from the hospital bed where her husband had died after being shot in Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred on Thursday in Lalpur village in the tribal-majority district of Dindori, where four men-a father and his three sons-were shot over a longstanding land dispute.

The father and one son died on the spot, while the other two, Shivraj and Ramraj, were taken to the Gadasarai Health Centre for treatment.

Shivraj succumbed to his injuries, and his pregnant wife, Roshni, was allegedly seen cleaning his hospital bed. The video shows Roshni with a blood-stained cloth in one hand and tissues in the other.

Dr. Chandrashekhar Tekam from the Gadasarai Health Centre stated that staff were present and the woman had not been instructed to clean the bed.

"The men were shot over a land dispute on Thursday, and two of them were brought to our facility. The wife of the deceased requested to wipe the blood from the bed with a cloth to use as evidence of the extent of bleeding. She was not asked to clean the bed. I have received no complaints from her or her family," he said.

The Gadasarai police have filed a case against seven individuals, including charges of murder, for shooting the four men. Some suspects are currently in custody.
