Lucknow Gangrape: Class 7 Girl Lured Through Instagram DM, Held Captive and Gangraped by Three Men at Hotel

An innocent online connection on Instagram led to a tragic incident involving a class 7 student in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The girl was invited by an acquaintance for a meeting, which turned into days of sexual assault by him and two others. This shocking event has sparked protests among students against alleged rape and murder of a trainee from Kolkata.

to Live Hindustan, police have filed charges against two suspects, while one remains at large. The girl's mother lodged the complaint at Sarojninagar police station. She mentioned that her daughter had connected with a man named Vimal on Instagram, who soon began calling her.

Accused Lured Victim

The mother, employed at a factory, revealed that Vimal claimed to reside near the Agra expressway. On October 10, around 10:00 pm, her daughter left home after receiving an invitation from Vimal. Initially, everything appeared normal until it took a dark turn.

Vimal arrived in a Scorpio vehicle accompanied by two men identified as Shubham and Piyush. They allegedly transported the girl to a hotel on IIM Road. The complaint detailed how they took turns assaulting her and recorded the act, threatening to release the footage if she resisted.

Victim Held Captive

The accused reportedly confiscated her phone and kept her captive for several days before abandoning her near her home on October 14. After dropping her off, all three men fled the scene. Inspector Rajdev Prajapati of Sarojininagar confirmed that based on the mother's complaint, charges were filed against Vimal, Piyush, and Shubham.

The charges include sections under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act), gang rape, kidnapping/holding captive, and the SC/ST Act. The authorities are actively pursuing the absconding suspect while ensuring justice for the victim.
