Lord Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra: 7 Hurt As Idol Of Lord Balabhadra Slips During Procession; Video Goes Viral
In a mishappening, seven servitors were injured on Tuesday during the Rath Yatra processions when Lord Balabhadra's idol fell on them accidentally in Odisha's Puri.
According to the reports, the incident happened when the Lords' idols were being shifted from chariots to the Adapa Mandap of the Gundicha temple.

In late evening, after all the rituals, the 'Pahandi' of the idols began, which means shifting idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra from chariots to the Adapa Mandap. During the ritual, the servitors gently swing the idols.
This was the time when Lord Balabhadra's idol slipped and 7 people got injured.
It was also reported that when Lord Balabhadra's idol was being shifted from his chariot, Taladhwaja, the idol fell on the servitors.
All injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
A day ago, a person died of suffocation and many got injured due to overcrowding during Lor Jagannath's annual Rath Yatra.
President Droupadi Murmu, Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan symbolically started the mammoth exercise by pulling the ropes attached to the main chariot of Lord Jagannath.
Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also paid his obeisance to the deities and extended wishes to people of the state with a post on social media.
