Looking forward to visit of Singapore PM: Narendra Modi
New Delhi, Aug 26 Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said he was keenly looking forward to the visit of his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong to India in the near future.

He conveyed this to Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam who called on him here.
Shanmugaratnam briefed the Prime Minister on the status of various bilateral cooperation initiatives, especially in the areas of Skill Development and Smart Cities, a PMO statement said.
Modi recalled his successful visit to Singapore in November last year during which the bilateral relationship was upgraded to a “strategic partnership”, the statement said.
The Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the people of Singapore on the sad demise of former President S R Nathan. He said Singapore has lost one of its great sons.
