Lok Sabha Pre-Poll Survey: Will YSRCP Maintain its Dominance In AP? Check ABP-CVoter Opinion Poll
As Andhra Pradesh gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a three-cornered contest looms large on the political horizon. Led by Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) braces itself to defend its stronghold against formidable opponents, including the newly formed alliance between the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Jana Sena Party led by Pawan Kalyan. Adding another layer to the electoral dynamics is the emergence of YS Sharmila-led state Congress, promising to disrupt the existing political landscape.

According to the findings of the ABP-CVoter Opinion poll, the NDA is projected to secure a significant 45% share of the vote, closely trailed by the YSR Congress, expected to garner 42% of the vote share. The poll also indicates that the I.N.D.I.A bloc might capture 3% of the vote share.
In terms of seat distribution, the NDA is poised to clinch victory in 20 constituencies, while the YSR Congress is anticipated to triumph in 5 seats.
Amidst these developments, the TDP-BJP-Janasena alliance has unveiled its electoral strategy, with Naidu revealing that the TDP will contest 17 seats, while BJP and Pawan Kalyan's Janasena will vie for six and two seats respectively in the state.
Several noteworthy events have unfolded in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha polls, including YS Sharmila's announcement of the merger of YSR Telangana Party with Congress in New Delhi. Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu also recently secured his release from Rajamahendravaram Central Jail on health grounds after 53 days of arrest in connection with the multi-crore skill development corporation scam case.
The 2019 Lok Sabha elections witnessed a landslide victory for YSRCP, securing 22 out of 25 seats, leaving TDP with a mere three seats. Notably, both BJP and Congress failed to make significant inroads in the state, underscoring the electorate's preference for regional parties.
