Vijayendra expressed confidence that the BJP will win 20+ seats in the Lok Sabha elections. It is expected that the party will win more seats as it will also have the support of the JD(S).

According to a Lok Poll pre-election survey conducted in Karnataka, the Congress is expected to win 12-14 seats, the BJP 10-12 seats, and the JD(S) 1-2 seats. Congress high command leaders have set a target of winning more than 20 seats in the state as the Congress is in power in the state.

Even though the BJP-JD(S) alliance has been formed, it is still not final how many seats will be allocated to the JD(S). There is information that the Mandya and Hassan constituencies will be given up. Mandya MP Sumanlata has already announced her support to the BJP. So, it is interesting who will get the Mandya constituency.
