The fourth leg of seven-phase voting for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, comprising 96 Lok Sabha constituencies across 10 States and Union Territories, concluded today. A total of 1,717 candidates contested in this phase, and their electoral fortunes have been captured in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
According to the data shared by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the voter turnout at 5pm stood at 62.3%. Notably, West Bengal recorded the highest polling percentage with 75.66%, followed by Madhya Pradesh at 68.01%. While Jammu and Kashmir recorded the highest number voter turnout in the national election since 1996.
