Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 2 Highlights: Voting for the second phase to elect the 18th Lok Sabha has been concluded.
On April 26, all 20 seats in Kerala, 14 of 28 seats in Karnataka, 13 seats in Rajasthan, 8 seats each in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, 7 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 5 seats each in Assam and Bihar, 3 seats each in Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, and 1 seat each in Manipur, Tripura, and Jammu and Kashmir went under polling.
According to the data shared by the Election Commission of India (ECI) nearly 60% voter turnout across 88 Lok Sabha seats was recorded.
States like Manipur, Chhattisgarh, Bengal, Assam, and Tripura saw a commendable voter participation rate, each exceeding 70%. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra witnessed lower turnout rates at 52.6%, 53%, and 53.5% respectively.
