Rajya Sabha: Lok Pal Bill gets green signal, to be taken up in LS

However, discussions on the Lok Pal Bill overpowered the communal violence bill and it was declared that the Lokpal Bill will be taken up by the Lok Sabha tomorrow. While Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh and Ram Gopal Yadav strongly opposed the Lokpal, Congress Vice-President made his opinions clear about the Bill stating that it should be passed without much delay.
Kamal Nath reiterated his ideas after a meeting with Rahul Gandhi. Kapil Sibal, on the other hand, said, "passing of bill is a historic moment for the Law Minister and that the Lokpal Bill gave the Rajya Sabha a historic opportunity and said the Parliament was listening to the voice of people outside Parliament."
He further added,"I thank all political parties for sitting here today to listen to the voice of people who are fed up with corruption."
