Live Rohtak Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: Deependra Singh Hooda Locks Horns With Arvind Sharma
Rohtak, Haryana's one of the high-profile seat, is likely to face a neck and neck battle between the Congress and the BJP, says Exit Polls. The region comprises entire Rohtak and Jhajjar districts and some parts of the Rewari district. In the Modi wave in 2019, BJP's Arvind Kumar Sharma emerged victorious with 5,73,845 votes.
Congress Deepender Singh Hooda, a three time MP, was runner up with 5,66,342 votes. Deepender Singh Hooda, son of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, won the Lok Sabha election from Rohtak three times, first in the bypoll of 2005, and later 2009 and 2014.

As per the 2011 census, the population of Rohtak district was 10.61 lakh. It shares borders with Delhi in the northwest, Jind and Sonipat districts in the north, Jhajjar and Sonipat districts in the east, and Hisar, Charkhi Dadri, and Bhiwani districts in the west.
The present Rohtak district was formed in 1824 by consolidating several tehsils. In the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Arvind Kumar Sharma of the BJP emerged victorious with 5,73,845 votes, defeating Deepender Singh Hooda of the Congress, who received 5,66,342 votes.
Pradeep Deswal of the JJP secured 21,211 votes. Notably, Deepender Singh Hooda won the Lok Sabha election from Rohtak three times, first in the bypoll of 2005, then in 2009, and again in 2014.
