Live Bangalore North Election Results 2024: BJP's Shobha Karandlaje Leading By 49618 Votes

The Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency, one of the 28 parliamentary seats in Karnataka, has seen several name changes throughout its history. The first elections in this constituency were held in 1951, with Keshava Iyengar of the Indian National Congress (INC) elected as the inaugural member of parliament (MP). Iyengar went on to secure a second term in the subsequent 1957 election.

The BJP has secured four consecutive victories in this seat over the last four Lok Sabha elections since 2004. In 2019, BJP's Sadanand Gowda retained his seat by defeating Congress' Krishna Byre Gowda.

This year, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje has been fielded from the seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, replacing the sitting two-time MP Sadanand Gowda. Meanwhile, the Congress has nominated MV Rajeev Gowda, replacing Krishna Byre Gowda, who was unsuccessful in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The Congress has once again changed its candidate in an attempt to turn its fortunes around, as the BJP has been winning the Bangalore North seat since 2004.
