Lessons on Congress, birthday party are keeping Gujarat MLAs busy in Bengaluru

More than 200 people have lost their lives due to floods in Gujarat.

Away from the floods and political crisis in their hometown, legislators from Gujarat are learning a thing or two about the Congress in Bengaluru. The MLAs also celebrated the birthday of one of the legislators' son at a Bengaluru resort where they have been lodged since Saturday.

Starting Tuesday, the legislators will attend orientation sessions on the history and ideology of the Congress party. The three-day session will include lessons on leaders of Congress, achievements of the party, truth on allegations of corruptions against UPA government, BJP's lies, team work, media and social media transparency and accountability and the importance of the Congress' ideology.

Dr Suresh Sharma and Naushad Parmar from Jawaharlal Nehru Leadership Institute, New Delhi are engaging the MLAs. Classes will be conducted apart from play and learn sessions to improve team work. On Monday, a birthday party was held for the son of Gandhinagar MLA Kaminiben Rathod.

The Congress is mulling the possibility of shifting some of the MLAs to different resorts in Mysuru or Kodagu. Currently, the resort in the outskirts of Bengaluru city, in Bidadi is serving as a safe house for the Gujarat legislators.
