Learn How To Respect Women From PM Modi: Hema Malini To Surjewala Over Sexist Remarks

BJP MP and actress Hema Malini has slammed Congress leader Randeep Surjewala over his alleged sexist comments against her and said that he should learn from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on how to respect women.

BJP MP Hema Malini said, "... They target only popular people because targeting the unpopular ones won't do them any good... They should learn how to respect women from PM Narendra Modi... I am here to file my nomination and on this happy occasion, I do not want to talk about what anyone else said..."

On Wednesday, the BJP accused Haryana Congress leader Randeep Surjewala of making "vile, sexist" remarks against its MP Hema Malini. The saffron party claimed that it shows that the main opposition party is misogynistic and abhors women.

Amit Malviya, BJP's IT department head, posted an undated video on X in which the Congress MP is purportedly making some objectionable remarks about Hema Malini while attacking the ruling party.

He said, "Congress MP Randeep Surjewala makes a vile sexist comment, that is demeaning and derogatory, not just for Hema Malini, who is an accomplished individual, but women in general." He added that this is the most disgusting description someone can come up with.

"This is Rahul Gandhi's Congress. It is misogynistic and abhors women," he said, sharing the comments of Surjewala.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has issued a clarification, saying that he did not intend to insult or offend the Mathura MP. "We also respect Hema Malini a lot because she is married to Dharmendra ji and is our daughter-in-law," the Congress leader said.

He claimed it was a distorted video shared to divert attention from the BJP government's failures. He attacked the BJP for spreading fake news.

Meanwhile, BJP MP Hema Malini on Thursday filed her nomination from Mathura constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
