Lawrence Bishnoi Denies Allegations Of Extortion During Court Hearing, Citing Police Conspiracy

In a recent court proceeding conducted via video conferencing, Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster currently held in Sabarmati Jail, refuted all allegations linked to an extortion case dating back to 2017. The session was overseen by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate No. 7, Harshit Hada, where Bishnoi vehemently dismissed the episode as fabricated. His denial came amidst questioning about an incident where two individuals reportedly attempted to murder businessman Manish Jain, with the mishap being attributed to a malfunctioning revolver. Jain had subsequently asserted that these attackers were operatives of the Bishnoi gang, claiming he received threatening calls from Bishnoi himself, demanding extortion money under the threat of death.

In his defense, Bishnoi contested the charges, alleging police conspiracy and wrongful framing. He underscored his continuous 11-year imprisonment, arguing the improbability of orchestrating threats from behind bars. Bishnoi suggested that the police were leveraging these baseless accusations to intimidate and exert pressure on him, firmly stating, "the allegations against him were false."

Meanwhile, Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s brother and also implicated in high-profile criminal activities, has been apprehended in the United States. Anmol, who is suspected of involvement in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and the shooting outside Bollywood star Salman Khan's Mumbai residence, was reportedly residing in Canada and frequently visiting the US. His criminal undertakings include the assassination of the former Maharashtra minister Siddique in Mumbai’s Bandra on October 12, and the attack near Salman Khan’s home on April 14, highlighting the international ramifications of the Bishnoi gang's activities.

This development indicates the extensive reach and the severe implications of the Bishnoi gang's operations, extending beyond Indian borders and involving significant figures and locations. The case continues to unfold, with the recent statements and arrests shedding light on the intricate web of criminal activities orchestrated by the Bishnoi gang, both within and outside India.
