Late Night Call, Long Chat: IAS Officer Puja Khedkar In Disability Row Summons Police
Trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar found herself embroiled in controversy on Monday when she summoned female police officials to her residence late at night amidst allegations of submitting forged disability and Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates to benefit from reservation in UPSC exams.
Following the viral circulation of her chats requesting accommodation, a car, and a separate cabin, Khedkar was transferred to Washim district in Maharashtra. Addressing reporters about the police visit, she clarified, "I had invited the women police officials to my residence; they did not arrive on their own."

Khedkar added, "A committee has been established to investigate. We await its findings." Three constables visited Khedkar's home around 10:30 PM, departing at 1 AM, citing official duties.
The controversy escalated with social media videos showing Khedkar's mother wielding a gun at a farmer and confronting metro workers. Allegations also surfaced against Khedkar's father, accusing him of pressuring officials to arrange separate accommodations and a vehicle for his daughter.
Further investigation revealed Khedkar's unsuccessful attempts to obtain disability certificates by falsifying personal details three times. Subsequently, a "medically fit" certificate emerged, initially used during her pursuit of an MBBS degree.
