Last Seen: CCTV Footage From Hotel Shows Final Moments Of Ex-Model Divya Pahuja

CCTV footage retrieved from a Gurugram hotel where former model Divya Pahuja was fatally shot has helped authorities reconstruct the events of the murder. In the footage, Pahuja is seen at the hotel reception early in the morning with Abhijeet Singh, the primary suspect. Less than 20 hours later, her body is seen being dragged down a hotel corridor by two men.

This footage marks the last sighting of the body. Police report that the body was taken to Singh's BMW, driven in the direction of Punjab, and abandoned. Although the car has been located in Patiala, the police are still searching for the body, launching a massive hunt.

Pahuja, 27, had a previous jail term for her alleged involvement in the fake encounter of a Gurugram gangster.

At 4:18 am on Tuesday, footage from Hotel City Point's reception shows Singh, Pahuja, and another man entering. Singh and the other individual engage with the receptionist while Pahuja stands behind. Later, Singh and Pahuja move deeper into the hotel while the third person talks to the receptionist before heading their way.

Subsequent footage around 10:45 pm exhibits two men dragging Pahuja's wrapped body down a hotel corridor, with one of the men seen returning. Authorities state the body was taken to Singh's blue BMW and discarded.

Reports suggest Pahuja possessed compromising videos of Singh on her phone, which he demanded she delete. Allegedly blackmailing the hotel owner with these videos led to Singh and at least two associates shooting her. However, Pahuja's family vehemently denies these claims.

Singh and two alleged accomplices, Omprakash and Hemraj, have been apprehended. Police are pursuing two or three others who were purportedly paid by Singh to dispose of Pahuja's body.

Pahuja was associated with Gurugram's notorious gangster Sandeep Gadoli, who was killed by Haryana police in a Mumbai hotel encounter in 2016. Following the alleged fake encounter, numerous police officials were arrested, including Pahuja and her mother, for allegedly disclosing the gangster's location and aiding in the incident.

She had been incarcerated since 2016 and was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in June last year.
