Lashkar will hit India from the seas, says latest IB report
New Delhi, Feb 19: Even as several persons debate the Pakistan boat incident, a fresh alert stating that the Lashkar-e-Tayiba is all set to launch an attack through the seas has been sounded.
The intelligence report states that the naval wing of the Lashkar would try and send in armed terrorists through the seas in a bid to attack naval stations and assets in India.

The alert is Grade A:
A Grade A alert means that it is specific and perception is extremely high. The intelligence alert states that the Lashkar would attempt targeting naval stations and its assets.
Intelligence Bureau officials also do not rule that the Paksitan boat which had been intercepted on December 31 2014 could have been part of this plan.
During the investigation into the Pakistan boat incident, the agencies found that this was part of an ongoing operation by the Lashkar which was supported by the ISI.
Pak navy could be involved:
Like the 26/11 attack, this operation too has the backing of the Pakistan navy, intelligence officials also say.
During the 26/11 the Lashkar had taken the help of several naval officers who trained the cadre who finally carried out the 26/11 attack.
The fresh alert of the intelligence suggests that several officials of the Pakistan navy both serving and retired have been training Lashkar cadres stage attacks on India.
The Lashkar will stick to the sea route as it is still considered to be easier to infiltrate using this route.
