Land grab charge against AIADMK MLA

Coimbatore, Mar 28: Ruling AIADMK MLA V C Arukutty here was today accused by his elder brother of grabbing his land and selling it for Rs two crore.

In a complaint submitted to District Collector Archana Patnaik, Arukutty's brother V C Velusamy alleged that his brother grabbed 38 cents of his prime land in Kalapatti by forging documents and selling it to one Ponnusamy for Rs two crore.

Velusamy requested the Collector to intervene and help to retrieve his property, officials said. The MLA, who represents Kavundampalayam in the city, could not be reached for comments.
