Lalu Yadav Finally Reacts to Daughter Rohini's Outburst, Calls it an 'Internal Family Matter'

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav finally broke his silence over Rohini Acharya's public outburst and clarified that the matter does not require outside interference. He urged party colleagues to stay focused on organisational strength rather than discussing disputes within his family.

Lalu Urges Focus on Party Revival

Speaking in Patna at a gathering of RJD legislators where Tejashwi Yadav was unanimously chosen as the leader of the legislative party, Lalu said, "This is an internal family matter and will be resolved within the family. I am there to deal with it."

He emphasised that individuals should concentrate on reinforcing the party and improving its performance after a disappointing assembly election result that left the RJD with only 25 seats, the lowest in ten years.

Rohini's Emotional Withdrawal and Growing Rift

Rohini Acharya, who contested the Lok Sabha elections from Saran and lost to Rajiv Pratap Rudy, announced her exit from politics on social media claiming she was "disowning" her family. She held Sanjay Yadav and Rameez, aides close to Tejashwi Yadav, responsible for her disappointment.

Soon after her statement, she shared that she was "humiliated, filthy abuses were hurled at her, and a slipper was raised to hit her."

The situation escalated further when her sisters Chanda, Ragini, and Hema reportedly left the family residence on Sunday evening citing mistrust and preference for outsiders over siblings.

The discord had been visible for months since the Bihar Adhikar Yatra where Rohini objected to Sanjay Yadav sitting beside Tejashwi.

Reactions From Family and Party Circles

Misa Bharti echoed Lalu's stand and asked the media to prioritise issues concerning state development and electoral promises. "These things happen in families and get settled through talks," she said while adding that attention should be given to topics like employment, financial support for Jeevika Didis and industrial progress.

She reiterated, "At this time, we are looking at how to strengthen the party."

Tej Pratap Yadav, who was expelled from the party before creating Janshakti Janata Dal, linked the family rift with the party's electoral outcome and accused Tejashwi of ignoring legitimate concerns.

Lalu's brother in law Sadhu Yadav also blamed Tejashwi's approach and described the situation as unjust towards Rohini while demanding immediate action against those influencing internal dynamics.

Several BJP figures reacted to the development, with Dilip Jaiswal calling it evidence of a patriarchal mindset and questioning the family's unity despite Rohini's sacrifice as a kidney donor.
