Key Accused in Parliament Security Breach Arrested

In a significant development, Lalit Mohan Jha, a pivotal figure in the recent Parliament security breach incident, was apprehended by law enforcement authorities on Thursday evening. A Breach of Security

The Parliament security breach unfolded on Wednesday, coinciding with the somber anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack. During the Zero Hour proceedings in the Lok Sabha, two individuals, identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, breached the security cordon and entered the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery. They proceeded to release yellow smoke from canisters and raise slogans before being apprehended by vigilant Members of Parliament.

Concurrently, outside the Parliament premises, two other individuals, including a woman, engaged in similar acts of protest, raising slogans and releasing yellow smoke. Swift action by the police resulted in the apprehension of this duo as well.

A Coordinated Effort

Preliminary investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies suggest that the Parliament security breach was meticulously planned and executed by a group of six individuals. All six individuals are currently in police custody, with Sagar, Manoranjan, Amol, and Neelam being apprehended at the scene of the incident. Their accomplice, Vishal, who provided lodging to the group prior to their arrival at Parliament, was apprehended in Gurugram.
