KTR Slams Congress After Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha Nomination Rejected

A major political row has erupted over a rejected Rajya Sabha nomination in Madhya Pradesh. BRS leader KT Rama Rao criticised the Congress party for the development on Friday. KT Rama Rao blamed internal party division for candidate Meenakshi Natarajan's failed attempt. Meanwhile, Congress leaders tried to deflect the blame onto their political rivals instead.

The nomination of Meenakshi Natarajan was rejected by the election Returning Officer. This happened because Meenakshi Natarajan did not share details of a Telangana court case. The omission rendered the official nomination papers incomplete under the rules. Both Meenakshi Natarajan and the Congress claimed only a legal notice was issued. They argued there was no requirement to report a non-pending criminal case.

Later, the Supreme Court also refused to step in to help Meenakshi Natarajan. The court stated that any remedy must be sought under specific election laws. This legal setback created a major political storm between the rival parties. BRS leader KT Rama Rao quickly raised serious questions about the Congress party leaders.

Revanth Reddy blames BJP for Meenakshi Natarajan nomination setback

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy strongly rejected any claims of internal sabotage or division. Revanth Reddy blamed the BJP and the election Returning Officer for the situation instead. The Chief Minister claimed both entities were major conspirators behind the nomination disaster.

Revanth Reddy said, "The BJP has made Kim Jong Un its role model, conducting elections in the same manner as they are held in North Korea. Earlier, they used to practise vote theft; now they are indulging in seat theft. I am questioning the conduct of the Returning Officer in Natarajan's case. The Returning Officer was used as a tool to disqualify Natarajan, and that is the saddest part of our democracy,"

The Chief Minister claimed there was no internal betrayal within the state party. Revanth Reddy said, "There is no internal sabotage in this case. There is no FIR against Natarajan, and she is merely a respondent. I would say the BJP and the Returning Officer are the main conspirators,"

Revanth Reddy defined the entire dispute as a clash of basic values. Revanth Reddy described the controversy as a clash of systems. Revanth Reddy called it "a fight between Gandhian principles and Godse's ideology". Revanth Reddy asserted "the BJP is anti-democracy and anti-women".

KTR targets Revanth Reddy over internal rift in Congress

BRS leader KT Rama Rao disputed these claims and urged Congress to investigate. KT Rama Rao wanted the party to find out who leaked sensitive information. This leak supposedly went to BJP leaders who raised it with officials. KT Rama Rao noted that Congress leaders already knew who worked against the nominee.

KT Rama Rao stated that the party must expose the internal enemies. The BRS leader urged Rahul Gandhi to find those within. Gandhi "should identify the black sheep within the Congress who are undermining the party from within." Rao added, "Congress leaders themselves know who betrayed the party and who worked against Meenakshi Natarajan,"

Rao also felt that different bodies treated Meenakshi Natarajan unfairly. Rao said, "The Election Commission wronged her. One thing is accepted in Jharkhand, while on the other hand Meenakshi Natarajan's plea is rejected. This is absolutely wrong. Congress too has wronged her, given that reports of a conspiracy against her by Telangana Congress leaders are coming to the fore,"

Meenakshi Natarajan nomination rejection highlights internal Congress factionalism

KT Rama Rao further said Congress has a long history of deep internal betrayal. KT Rama Rao referenced recent comments made by senior leader Shabbir Ali to support this. Shabbir Ali had alleged that political positions were being secured using financial power. KT Rama Rao said these comments confirmed what many people already knew.

The BRS leader also alleged that cash influenced key positions in Congress. KT Rama Rao made a strong personal attack on the Telangana Chief Minister. The leader called Revanth Reddy a "renewal Chief Minister" who needs approval. KT Rama Rao claimed Revanth Reddy stays in office by pleasing senior high command leaders.

Following the dismissal of the court plea, Meenakshi Natarajan also spoke out. Meenakshi Natarajan said that "seat chori" had clearly taken place here. Meenakshi Natarajan asserted, "we are ready to fight" against this decision. The politician clarified that this was not about a single personal loss.

Meenakshi Natarajan noted that the issue represents a much larger democratic battle. The rejected candidate stated that democracy is facing continuous and heavy blows. The controversy continues to create major waves in state and national politics.
