K P S Gill rightly said rise of AAP will lead to revival of Khalistan in Punjab
The rise of the Khalistan movement has been spoken about for long. The chaos on Thursday is a clear sign that the Punjab government is napping over the issue
Punjab plunged into lawlessness on Thursday and the entire administration looked or helplessly.
One can't help by remember K P S Gill in such times. The dare-devil cop who took down militancy mercilessly and completely finished the problem.

Now that Punjab is being ruled by the Aam Aadmi Party, it would be interesting to see what IPS officer Kanwar Pal Gill popularly known as K P S Gill had said about the party.
Gill was reacting to the Maur Mandi blasts of January 29 2017. Seven people had died in the twin blasts that took place at Maur in Punjab.
Gill had said that he predicted a rise in terrorist activities in Punjab even before the Maur Mandi blast. He said that it is due to the activities of some political parties that such incidents were on the rise.
"Actually I had predicted that because of the activities of some political parties, there will be terrorist incidents," Gill had said in an interview with The Indian Express.
He further said that the Khalistan supporters abroad were looking for a window of opportunity to return to Punjab and work on their separatist designs. However over the years, they were unable to do so, but with the presence of the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab that window has opened leading to an influx of them from foreign countries, he said.
"Now with the AAP, there is an influx of them from foreign countries. They think this is the opportunity which is very good for them and they would be able to create a big base from which to operate," Gill had said.
He said that the AAP has unwittingly provided a platform to radical NRIs who have a sole agenda of spreading terrorism in the state. If the Shiromani Akali Dal, BJP or Congress come to power, it will be difficult for the radical elements to revive themselves, but the same cannot be said about the AAP if it wins the elections, he said.
