Kovind's village living it up with sweets, songs and dance
From special Pooja and Paath for Ram Nath Kovind's victory now there is an environment of celebration, dance and loud music in his native village.
Paraukh village in Derapur tehsil in Uttar Pradesh, the birthplace of President elect Ram Nath Kovind, is enjoying the moment.
The moment news flashes the NDA presidential candidate's victory a huge crowd, comprising of youngsters and also some old time friends of Kovind are creating quite a noise with song, dance and dhols.

Sweets were distributed amid the chanting of songs in praise of PM Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Kovind.
Paraunk, small village in Dehat district is 110 kms from Kanpur.
People will play 'Holi' during the day and celebrate 'Diwali' at night.
Reportedly, Kovind had visited Paraunkh village in July 2016, when he became the governor of Bihar.
"Oh our village is going to be on the world map soon. it's because of him. Now there will be better roads, perhaps we may get our own college," said Gauri Shankar Shrivastava, who says he is Kovind's friend, reports NDTV.
Ram Nath Kovind was born in Paraukh, a village of 12,000 people in Kanpur Dehat, on October 1, 1945. His father, Maikulal, was a landless Dalit from the weaver community who ran a small grocery to support his family of 10, including five sons and three daughters. The mud hut where Kovind was born has been donated to the village. In its place now stands a community centre.
Festive atmosphere at Kovind's Delhi residence
A festive atmosphere prevailed today at the 10 Akbar Road bungalow where president-elect Ram Nath Kovind has been staying since filing his nomination for the top constitutional post.
Flower pots were lined up at the main entrance while several baskets of flowers, including choicest roses, were taken inside the bungalow premises, to welcome Kovind, who defeated opposition candidate Meira Kumar by bagging 65 per cent of the votes.
