Late-Night Shooting in Kochi: Three Bar Employees Injured, Three Arrested

In a shocking incident, three employees of a bar in the heart of Kochi, Kerala, sustained injuries in a late-night shooting incident. The incident occurred on Sunday night following an altercation between the bar staff and four individuals who had come to purchase liquor.

Shots Fired at Kochi Bar: Three Injured, Motive Unknown

Altercation Turns Violent

According to the police, the altercation started on the road in front of the bar's main gate. The bar manager objected to the quarrel taking place in front of the establishment, which led to a brutal assault on him by the accused.

The manager was severely beaten and thrashed on the face and left thigh. Witnessing the attack on their colleague, two other employees of the bar, Sujin and Akhil, rushed to the spot and attempted to intervene.

Gunfire Erupts

Enraged by the intervention, the prime accused, identified as Dilshan Bose, drew his handgun and fired at Sujin and Akhil, causing injuries to their abdomen and thighs. The accused and his accomplices then fled the scene in a car.

Swift Police Action

The injured bar employees were promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the police initiated a thorough investigation into the incident. Based on CCTV visuals and other scientific evidence, they were able to apprehend three suspects: Dilshan Bose (34), Vijay Jose (32), and Shemir P A (34), all residents of Ernakulam.

Abandoned Car Found

The police also discovered the car used by the accused abandoned in nearby Muvattupuzha. A case has been registered against four identifiable individuals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 303 (attempt to murder).

The prompt action taken by the police in apprehending the suspects demonstrates their commitment to maintaining law and order in the city. Further investigations are underway to ascertain the motive behind the incident and bring all those involved to justice.
