Khalistani Terrorist Pannun Threatens Temples, Warns Of Attacks On Ayodhya Ram Mandir

Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has issued threats against Hindu temples, including the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. In a video released by the banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group, Pannun warned of an attack on November 16 and 17, aiming to incite violence against Hindu places of worship.

In his statement, Pannun declared, "We will shake the foundations of Ayodhya, birthplace of the violent Hindutva ideology."

The video features images of Prime Minister Modi praying at the Ram Temple during its inauguration in January this year. Pannun also cautioned Indians in Canada to avoid being near any Khalistani attacks on Hindu temples.

Last month, Pannun warned passengers against flying on Air India flights between November 1 and 19, claiming the dates marked the 40th anniversary of the 1984 "Sikh genocide."

Pannun has also called for violence against Indian diplomats, signalling an attempt to stir unrest within both Indian and expatriate communities. His SFJ group has been involved in promoting the idea of an independent Sikh state, issuing inflammatory statements that threaten communal harmony.

Pannun was designated a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in July 2020, and India has issued multiple warrants for his arrest. However, he remains active in the United States and Canada.

In recent years, attacks on Hindu temples and threats against the Hindu community in Canada by radical Khalistani elements have escalated. Vandalism, hate graffiti on temple walls, and public threats against the community have become more common.

Last week, pro-Khalistani protesters clashed with worshippers at the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton and disrupted an event organised jointly by the temple authorities and the Indian Consulate.

Despite India's repeated concerns, Canadian authorities' response to pro-Khalistani activities has been criticised as inadequate, straining relations between India and Canada.
