Kerala: Congress refuses to let BJP use helipad for Modi
Kasergod, April 7: Narendra Modi is set to visit the northern district of Kerala, Kasergod, on Tuesday and he Congress district unit is determined that they won't let his landing in the district be smooth.

The security officers and the Congress state unit had requested the Congress district committee to let the BJP use the helipad for Modi, but the Congress men asked the contractors to demolish the helipad, which was built for Rahul Gandhi's landing on Saturday. The helipad was dismantled completely on Sunday evening.

Modi is set campaign for Kasergod's BJP candidate K Surendran on Tuesday morning.

Gujarat police DIG R J Sawani who reached the place in advance to oversee the security arrangements for Modi expressed dismay over the decision of the Congress to dismantle the helipad, said an India Today report.

According to the Congress leaders of the district, the helipad was built using the funds of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC).

After the Congress-built helipad was dismantled on Sunday, the BJP has started making the new helipad.
