Kejriwal Commits to Delhi's Full Statehood on INDIA Bloc Election Win
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, during a series of poll meetings in South Delhi, made a bold assertion about the political future of India. He claimed that the BJP is apprehensive about the INDIA bloc's potential victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, emphasizing that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), as part of this alliance, would champion the cause for Delhi's full statehood. Kejriwal's campaign trail covered various locations including Badarpur Sabzi Mandi, Tughlakabad, Kalkaji, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, and Chhatarpur.

Kejriwal's rhetoric was sharp and direct, questioning the leadership style of Prime Minister Narendra Modi by comparing him to a police officer rather than a prime minister. This comparison stemmed from his allegations that Modi has been instrumental in incarcerating opposition leaders. The AAP leader also criticized Modi's stance on free bus travel for women, suggesting that such benefits should be extended nationwide especially in light of escalating inflation.
The AAP chief shared personal anecdotes from his time in jail, expressing gratitude towards the women who prayed for his release. He attributed his release to divine intervention and continued to express his devotion to Lord Bajrang Bali. Kejriwal's narrative then shifted to his observations on public sentiment across the country, highlighting widespread dissatisfaction with inflation and unemployment under the BJP's governance.
Kejriwal did not hold back in his critique of Prime Minister Modi's recent remarks about political figures such as Sharad Pawar and Uddhav Thackeray. He called for respect towards elders while condemning Modi's derogatory comments. Furthermore, Kejriwal lamented the BJP's alleged failure to address inflation and unemployment during their tenure.
Expressing confidence in the INDIA bloc's victory, Kejriwal envisioned a government inclusive of AAP. He pledged to advocate for Delhi's full statehood to enhance education, healthcare, and security within the capital. He also anticipated a more cooperative relationship with the Lieutenant Governor post-elections, ensuring smoother governance for Delhi.
Kejriwal concluded his campaign on a note of mutual admiration with the public who braved extreme temperatures to attend his meetings. His acknowledgment of their support underscored a deep connection with his constituents amidst challenging political discourse.
