Kedarnath Temple opened for pilgrims on Sunday on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri and with several new highlights for devotees making the holy pilgrimage.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Saturday extended a warm welcome to devotees visiting the famous shrine in Garhwal Himalayas.
This year's yatra would have several new features, including a daily laser show on Lord Shiva, to make the visitors' experience even more cherishable.
Gangotri and Yamunotri shrines have already been reopened while the gates of Badrinath will be reopened on Monday. The gates of these temples are closed every winter due to snow-bound conditions.
