Katihar SP fires bullets during farewell, top brass assures strict action
Celebratory firing by Katihar Superintendent of Police (SP) Siddharth Mohan Jain has landed him in soup. The police officer was seen firing shots in the air during a farewell ceremony on Tuesday.

The Katihar SP, Siddharth Mohan Jain was getting transferred to Delhito the Central Bureau Of Investigation(CBI). District Magistrate(DM) Mithilesh Mishra was also getting transferred as well, according to news agency ANI. In the video, SP Jain and Mishra were seen enjoying their farewell party. The latter was singing a song from the 1975 hit Sholay film - 'Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge'.
Additional Director General of Police has assured strict action Siddharth Mohan Jain his action. ADGP, SK Singhal, said, " This is unacceptable.We will investigate matter & take strict action against him. His central posting has also been stayed till then."
