Kashmiri Pandits hold protest in support of hike in relief

, Oct 4: Displaced Kashmiri Pandits today staged a protest here to demand enhancement in the monthly

given to them to Rs 10,000 per family.

About 100 migrant relief holders held a demonstration outside Relief Commissioner's office here in support of their demand for enhancement of monthly relief.

"We appeal to the Jammu and Kashmir government to follow up the case at central level. J&K government has already sent a proposal to central government for enhancement of relief, but the Centre has turned a blind eye," said one of the protesters. "If government will not fulfill our demands at the earliest, the migrant relief holders will launch a big agitation," he added.
