Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh Opinion Poll: BJP Eyes More Seats In South In Lok Sabha Elections 2024

With the Lok Sabha elections 2024 around the corner, the Bharatiya Janata Party has set a target of 400+ seats for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and 370+ seats for its own. The saffron party bagged 303 seats in the 2019 elections with a firm hold in northern India, and this time the party is eyeing to clinch more seats from the down south this time.

Despite having a few members from Karnataka, the BJP has to work really hard in all Southern states Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, India TV in association with CNX Opinion Poll tried to know the mood of the nation and predict which party is getting how many seats and vote percent.

Opinion Poll For Karnataka

According to the survey, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to win 22 out of 28 Lok Sabha seats. The prediction is surely a number for worry for the BJP as the saffron party won 25 seats, 3 more, in 2019. This time, the party has joined hands with the Janata Dal-Secular (JDS).

However, JDS is likely to retain both the seats the regional party won last time. Congress may gain a few more seats compared to the 2019 elections.

Opinion Poll For Kerala:

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi's continuous visits to southern states, the BJP is eyeing to perform better in 2024 in Kerala. As per the survey, BJP may open its account in Kerala and bag three Lok Sabha seats. However, the state has regional fronts' dominance as UDF and LDF are likely to have 11 and 6 seats respectively. Notably, UDF contested elections in alliance last year, and this time INDIA bloc is eyeing to clean sweep the state.

Opinion Poll For Andhra Pradesh:

As per the responses recorded from the people of Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy's YSRCP is likely to have an edge as the opinion poll gives 15 seats to the state ruling party. While former CM Chandra Baby Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) may win 10 seats out of Andhra Pradesh's 25 seats. The survey shows that national parties, BJP, and Congress have no chance here.

However, reports suggested that BJP and Congress are trying to lour the regional parties and join hands with them.
