Here is the full text of the actor's address to his fans:
People ask about my ideology, here it is-good quality education must reach all,c aste and religious games played on us must be stopped.corruption has to be eradicated.
People ask me what is this 'Maiam?' and ask me if I am left or right? That is why I kept the name 'Maiam', which means centre. Six hands in my party symbol represent six states, star in the middle represents people.
We will adopt villages. We will transform them. We will change till you are satisfied. When we say this some people mock at us but we will show them.
I am not 'Thalaivar'. I am one amongst you.
You need to be an example. I am here to listen to you. Not to tell you what to do. This is not a one-day thing. This will be a way of life. We are going to create a people's party, today is one example. There will be many such public meetings.
I have the confidence today that I am on the right path.
You are making me a leader today. It is something we need to do for ourselves.
Guide us to serve you better. It will be my endeavor to work for the people. Good education for all is my agenda. We will show it. We will do it. We will prove it by our work.
There will be electricity in all rural areas. We will ensure that it is delivered.
For 37 years, our fan club association has been working on welfare activities peacefully. Our work was received well by people. However there were hurdles in that as well. But we have not forgotten that,
The six hands in my flag stands for the six south Indian states.ou had looked at me as a star all along. Now I request you to look at me as a lamp. Light me in all your homes.
Don't ask me who is my idol. I like everyone. I like Obama and Chandrababu Naidu. I like Ambedkar and Periyar too.
School system, which the govt should run, has been given to private people. But liquor shops which anyone could run is operated by the govt? Where are we headed? All facilities have been made to ensure liquor reaches us in childhood itself.
I don't claim myself as a scientist. But we have come as social service agents. People ask me how will you solve Cauvery issue? People ask me if I can get water. Had there been proper dialogue, we could have gotten what we wanted. You people want water? I can give you blood.. I mean to say I can get Bengaluru people to donate blood, says Kamal. "Don't burn property and kill each other, we don't want the violence anymore."
