Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee on Sunday again mimicked Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar. According to the reports, Banerjee mocked the vice president again during his address at a political gathering in West Bengal.

Speaking in Bangla, Banerjee said he will keep doing mimicry, it is an art. "If needed, will do it a thousand times, I have all the fundamental rights to express my views. You can kill me, but I will not step back, I will continue to fight," Kalyan Banerjee said.

The TMC leader's act of mocking the Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar sparked a row after which he said Mimicry is an art and his intentions were never to hurt anyone.

"I have no intention to hurt anyone. However, I have a question. Does he (Jagdeep Dhankhar) really behave like this in Rajya Sabha? Mimicry is an art and it was also done by the PM in Lok Sabha between 2014 and 2019," Kalyan Banerjee had said.

Earlier, for mocking and disrespecting the Vice President, BJP slammed the Opposition's INDIA Bloc for Kalyan Banerjee's act. The saffron front also targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi who was filming the mimicry.

The incident of mimicry happened last week after 142 Members of Parliament were expelled from the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha for bringing placards in the house demanding an explanation from the Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the Parliament's Security Breach that took place on December 13. The Opposition MPs had also demanded Amit Shah's resignation if he is not ready to talk over the serious issue.
