Her counsel Dushyanth Dave while withdrawing the note said that the matter cannot be heard judicially as allegations against the son of the Chief Justice of India were also made in the suicide note. Dave said that Pul's 60-page suicide note had several names including that of Justice J S Khehar's son. The court has dismissed the matter as withdrawn.

Dave also told the court that allegations were also made against the son of the President of India. Hence they have now decided to seek remedy before the vice President.

The Supreme Court had on Wednesday decided to hear a petition that sought a CBI probe into the matter. Pul's wife has demanded that the CBI probe into the suicide note of her husband must be monitored by the CBI. On Tuesday Chief Justice of India, J S Khehar had passed an order based on a letter addressed by the wife of former Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Kalhiko Pul. The former CM had allegedly committed suicide on August 19, 2016.

Dangwimsai Pul wrote to the Chief Justice of India seeking an FIR into the allegations made by her late husband. She had also sought an independent probe. In her letter she said prior permission from the CJI or a senior judge of the Supreme Court was needed before an FIR was registered. She said that for a probe to be conducted, permission was required.

Pul, in a 60-page note written in Hindi made several allegations of corruption and named public figures. He had even named former and serving judges of the Supreme Court, apart from politicians and law officers. One of the allegations made by him was that two judges had demanded money through a middleman from Pul to ensure that President's Rule would not be declared illegal in Arunachal Pradesh. In 2016, the SC had quashed the imposition of President's Rule in the state which resulted in Pul's ouster and restoration of a Congress government.

On August 19, Pul was found hanging at his official residence. A note titled mere vichar (My views) was also found at his home. His note said that he was under extreme pressure to pay bribes to judges and influential politicians.
