Kajal Nishad, Samajwadi Party’s Gorakhpur Candidate, Hospitalised Following Cardiac Arrest
Samajwadi Party candidate from Gorakhpur constituency, Kajal Nishad was hospitalised on Sunday late evening following a cardiac arrest, according to the reports. The reports said she was swiftly admitted to a private hospital after complaining of uneasiness and pain in her chest. The reports added that her health is continuously deteriorating and doctors advised the family to take her to Lucknow for further and better treatment.
Speaking to the media, Kajal's husband Sanjay Nishad said, "She was experiencing some issues with her blood pressure and heart. We are taking her to Lucknow."

Samajwadi party fielded 41-year-old Kajal, who has worked in several TV soaps, in Gorakhpur's contest against BJP's sitting and veteran actor Ravi Kishan. The Gorakhpur seat is also highlighted as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hails from this constituency.
Uttar Pradesh (80) is India's largest state when it comes to the number of Lok Sabha seats, and is BJP stronghold.
As per the announcement by the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held in seven phases and counting of votes will be done on June 4.
