Juvenile Justice Board Postpones Porsche Crash Case Hearing
The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on Wednesday postponed the hearing of a prosecution application to treat the teenage driver involved in the Kalyaninagar Porsche crash as an adult offender until September 26. The defence's applications for the release of the impounded Porsche and the minor's passport were also deferred.

Prosecution and Defence Applications
A police officer stated, "We have sought adjournment as we have to file our say on the applications filed by defence seeking the release of their properties." The defence has already responded to the prosecution's plea, arguing that the minor cannot be treated as an adult since the crime does not fall into the heinous category.
Incident Details
The incident occurred in the early hours of May 19 when a Porsche, allegedly driven by the juvenile under the influence of alcohol, struck and killed two IT professionals, including a young woman. Following this, police registered an offence and presented the minor, who was 17 years and 8 months old at the time, before the JJB.
Initial Bail and Subsequent Developments
Initially, with only one member present instead of three, the JJB granted bail to the minor with conditions, including writing a 300-word essay on traffic norms. However, after Pune police challenged this decision, his bail was revoked, and he was sent to an observation home. The minor has since been released from the observation home following a high court order and has complied with all bail conditions, including submitting the required essay.
The case continues to draw attention as both sides prepare for further legal proceedings.
